Our beautiful country church sits on a multi-acre site in the quiet community of Howell, TN. Howell CPC first opened her doors in 1910. Our main building was constructed in 1858. Learn more about our building by reading about our History.
The Sanctuary is located in our main building and is where our worship services are held. The large windows are surrounded by original wood trim and allow God's glorious sunlight to fill the room. Throughout the year we can glimpse the beauty of God's perfect creation as we watch the seasons change.
Our Fellowship Hall was added in the late 1990s. It provides a gathering place for our congregation and a community. We use the space for meals, large bible studies, and holding special events like baby or bridal showers. In addition to a large gathering space, it boasts a large kitchen with multiple ovens and sinks as well as separate restroom facilities.
We currently have 5 spaces used for classes and/or nursery space. We adjust the use of these rooms as needed to meet whatever needs we have. Note that we also have two adult classes that meet in other spaces. The "young adult" class meets in the fellowship hall and the "adult" class meets in the sanctuary.
Our rural location has afforded us a large outdoor space which can be used additional fellowship, hosting outdoor events, and can someday provide us room to add new facilities if needed. We have a wonderful outdoor pavilion area with grills and a fireplace to keep us warm on cool fall nights. We have a nice playground where the kids enjoy running, sliding, and swinging. We also have 3 acres of open lawn perfect for hosting large outdoor events, church kickball games, or field day activities for the youth.
